Day 1 – Athens to Kythnos
51nmÂ
Athens is a captivating blend of ancient history and contemporary sophistication, where centuries-old landmarks stand alongside vibrant neighbourhoods, stylish restaurants and a thriving cultural scene. As the birthplace of Western civilisation, the Greek capital is home to some of the world’s most celebrated historical treasures, from the magnificent Acropolis and Parthenon to the charming streets of Plaka.
Beyond its rich heritage, Athens offers a lively atmosphere, with rooftop terraces overlooking the city, bustling markets and an exceptional culinary scene. Providing the perfect introduction to Greece, the capital is an ideal starting point for your journey through the Aegean, where the enchanting islands of the Cyclades await.
Named after a mythical king, it’s no wonder that Kynthos feels like a fairy tale. With its rolling golden hills, charming stone huts, and absolute serenity, you couldnât wish for a better escape in the Cyclades. The port of Merichas welcomes you in with its relaxing buzz and bright waterside cafes. Visit villages and caves and wander the colorful close-knit streets of Hora with their painted walls, local frescoes, and windmills. With more than a hundred beaches to choose from, when it comes to sun and sand, you will be spoiled for choice.
Day 2 – Kythnos to Syros
36nmÂ
As one of the smallest islands in the Cyclades chain, you get all the best parts crammed into one charming corner when it comes to Syros. Pastel shades, blooming bougainvillea, and crystal clear waters set the scene for a pretty port of call that is quite cosmopolitan. Charter guests can explore Ermoupoli – known as the queen of the cycles, this bustling town is all architectural grace and gleaming marble. Above the town, the Agios Georgios Cathedral is well worth the walk to see the 13th-century citadel complete with sweeping views. Beach lovers will find their bliss in Galissas where a sheltered cove makes swimming without a ripple a summer dream.
Day 3 – Syros to Mykonos
29nmÂ
Mykonos is one of the most famous Greek islands, famous for the glamour of its nightlife, the island’s main attraction after it’s plethora of beautiful beaches, great clubs and restaurants. Anchor off “Little Venice”, the charming seaside neighbourhood, with its row of waterfront cafes overlooking the sea, and stop at the Folklore Museum and the Archeological Museum. Shop by day or enjoy a sunset cocktail in one of the glamorous Mykonos bars.
Day 4 – Mykonos to Paros
24nm
Paros, situated south of Mykonos, is a popular charter stop known for its sandy beaches, sheltered bays and traditional Cycladic towns. The islandâs main port, Parikia, has a lively waterfront, narrow whitewashed streets and historic sites including Panagia Ekatontapiliani and the remains of the Venetian Castle.
On the north coast, Naoussa is one of Parosâ most attractive towns. Once a fishing village, it still has a small harbour with colourful boats, waterside tavernas and the remains of a Venetian castle at the entrance. Its surrounding streets are good for a stroll, with small shops, cafĂ©s and restaurants making it a lively stop ashore. Paros is also well known for windsurfing, particularly around Golden Beach and New Golden Beach, where the summer winds attract watersports enthusiasts.
Day 5 – Paros to Antiparos
6nm
Less than one nautical mile from Paros, Antiparos is the Greek island dream distilled: a pocket-sized Cycladic escape where time seems to slow with the setting sun, its whitewashed lanes splashed with bougainvillea and framed by blue doors winding through a sleepy chora that wakes gently for the evening promenade. Golden-sand beaches spill into glass-clear shallows, their horizons dotted with fishing boats – charter guests can drift between swims, paddleboarding sessions and trips to sea caves and uninhabited islets. Inland, a winding road leads to a stalactite-draped cave, once a refuge and place of worship, now a cool, echoing underworld. Back in town, evenings are for strolling the main lane, browsing small galleries and lingering in tavernas as the Aegean turns inky blue and cicadas strike up their evening song.
Day 6 – Anitparos to Sifnos
36nm
Wild, fragrant, and bursting with flavor, Sifnos is known for being one of the prettiest ports of call in the Cyclades. Sifnos is a postcard with its whitewashed buildings, impossibly blue sea, and the sparkle of sunlight hitting already golden-soaked rocks. Charter guests should be sure to explore the stone streets of Kastro and make the short hike to see the enigmatic Church of the Seven Martyrs. This white-washed, blue-top tiny church sitting precariously at the edge of a cliff has become a poster child for the ancient charm of Greece.
Day 7 – Sifnos to Athens
78nm
Athens is all beauty and grit, history and the here and now, an awe-inspiring combination of rich culture and contemporary cool. As your journey through the Greek islands draws to a close, return to the capital to discover another side of this captivating city.
