Booking & Planning

A superyacht charter offers an unparalleled level of privacy, freedom, and personalised luxury. With a dedicated full-service crew, bespoke menu planning, an exceptional array of state-of-the-art water toys, and the complete freedom to explore the world’s most breathtaking destinations, it is simply the finest way to travel. With Yomira every detail is personally designed to meet your requirements, so time becomes exclusively yours to be with who you want to be and to make every moment count.

Our priority is to fully understand your vision, where and when you wish to cruise, who will be joining you, and the kind of experience you are seeking. From there, we will identify the perfect yacht and curate exceptional cruising itineraries to ensure your voyage is truly unforgettable.

The majority of yachts spend the summer season in the Mediterranean and migrate to the Caribbean or the Bahamas during winter. Beyond these classic destinations, we also offer access to some of the world’s most extraordinary locations – Antarctica, Norway, Southeast Asia, the South Pacific, Australia and many more. We would be happy to guide you if you are not sure where to go.

This is where we truly excel. We specialise in crafting bespoke itineraries and will work closely with both you and the Captain to refine every detail of your route, ensuring each day exceeds your expectations.

We have full access to the entire global fleet of over 2000 yachts and we only cherry pick the finest for our clients. Our website showcases a carefully selected collection of superyachts to illustrate the breadth of options available. Once we have a full understanding of your requirements, we will personally curate the finest selection tailored to your requirements.

We will work with you to design an itinerary that delights the entire family, from pristine sandy beaches and snorkelling adventures to inflatable water parks and even a treasure hunt or two on board.

Onboard Experience

Most yachts comfortably accommodate between 8 and 12 guests, depending on the vessel’s size. For milestone celebrations and larger gatherings, certain yachts are equipped to host up to 36 guests in exceptional style.

Prior to embarkation, we will provide you with a detailed preference sheet to complete at your leisure. It covers everything from dietary requirements and allergies to preferred beverages, spa treatments, watersports and activities, even your favourite music. We liaise directly with the crew to personalise every element of your experience to the finest detail.

A full complement of water toys including jet skis, paddleboards, SeaBobs, and kayaks will generally be available for your enjoyment and often tuition is available onboard. Please note that certain equipment may require a licence to operate, and local regulations can occasionally restrict usage. Should any limitations arise, the crew will endeavour to offer a comparable alternative wherever possible.

Yes, the majority of yachts are equipped with high-speed wifi. Please be aware that signal strength may vary depending on your location at sea.

Smoking is generally permitted within designated outdoor areas only and is not allowed anywhere within the interior of the yacht.

Certain yachts do welcome four-legged companions, although policies vary between vessels. Should you wish to bring a pet, we ask that you inform us at the earliest opportunity so that we may identify suitable yachts and assist with arrangements for pet-friendly ports and activities along your route.

Of course. Subject to cabin availability, essential personal staff including nannies, security professionals, or medical personnel are warmly welcomed on board. We will require their details in advance, and the crew will ensure they receive all relevant safety briefings prior to departure.

Yes, most yachts request that guests to remove their shoes to protect the teak decking and interior surfaces. Most yachts offer elegant slippers for use within the interior spaces, and some will allow your own soft soled shoes to be worn onboard.

Yacht charters offer an exceptional environment for families, and the majority are fully set up for little adventurers with child-friendly menus, thoughtfully curated activities, watertoys and comprehensive safety features throughout.

Tons, from board games, gaming consoles, and private movie screenings to an extensive range of water toys and themed on-board celebrations, the crew will ensure younger guests are as thoroughly entertained as the adults.

While the crew are wonderfully attentive and engaging with younger guests, they will not be able to offer full babysitting. Should you require dedicated childcare, we recommend arranging for a nanny to join your party and we are delighted to assist with all relevant planning.

Many larger superyachts feature dedicated spa suites equipped with treatment beds, steam rooms, saunas, and cold plunge pools, allowing guests to indulge in a full programme of wellness and relaxation at sea. Some vessels also carry qualified therapists on board, while others welcome you to bring your own preferred practitioner for the duration of the voyage. Whether you are seeking a restorative massage after a day of water sports or a more comprehensive wellness retreat, we will work with you to arrange the perfect experience.

Every vessel is staffed by a handpicked team of highly trained individuals typically comprising a Captain, deck crew, chief steward and stewardess, and interior staff as well as highly qualified chef(s) each selected for their technical expertise and dedication to world-class service. The Captain serves as both a skilled navigator and your trusted guide throughout the voyage, while the interior crew attend to every detail of your comfort and hospitality. All crew members hold the relevant certifications and undergo rigorous training to ensure the very highest standards of safety and service are maintained at all times.

Each yacht is crewed by talented private chefs, many of whom have trained in Michelin-starred kitchens, who take immense pride in crafting personalised menus for each charter. Whether you are hosting an elegant dinner under the stars, a relaxed alfresco lunch on deck, or an intimate celebration, every menu is tailored to your tastes and dietary requirements. From locally sourced fresh ingredients at each port of call to specially requested dishes from your home country, no detail is too small. Prior to your embarkation, you will be invited to share your food and beverage preferences so that your chef can prepare thoughtfully and ensure every meal exceeds your expectations.

Pricing & Policies

Yacht charters are considerably more complex than hotel or villa reservations, as the yacht itself moves throughout the journey. Our consultants manage every aspect of the process, from matching you with the ideal crew to ensure the right fit to arranging bespoke catering, overseeing contracts, crafting your itinerary, and handling all financial matters, ensuring a smooth and stress-free experience from beginning to end.

The charter rate encompasses the yacht itself and its full professional crew. Additional expenses – including provisions, beverages, fuel, excursions, and port fees – are covered by the Advance Provisioning Allowance (known as the APA). Our team will walk you through all of this in detail before you confirm your booking.

To secure your charter, a deposit of 50% is usually required at the time of booking. The remaining balance – inclusive of the Advance Provisioning Allowance, applicable taxes, and any delivery fees – is due five weeks prior to your departure date.

Your Advance Provisioning Allowance, typically 30-40% of the charter fee, covers all on-board expenses throughout the voyage. You will receive regular updates during your trip, along with a full financial account upon conclusion. Should you spend less than anticipated, the balance will be refunded. If expenditure runs slightly over, topping up is a simple and straightforward process. A gratuity for the crew at the end of the charter is customary and we will give you guidance on the level of this.

Yes, a minimum charter period does apply to certain yachts – typically around seven days, though this varies by vessel, destination and time of year. We will confirm the precise terms for your chosen yacht and location.

The MYBA contract is the industry-standard agreement that clearly outlines all terms and conditions, protecting both you and the yacht owner with complete transparency. Our team has extensive expertise with this document and will guide you through every clause to ensure you feel entirely informed and at ease.

We strongly recommend taking out comprehensive insurance coverage. Cancellation and Curtailment Insurance provide peace of mind should your plans change unexpectedly; we can arrange this for you as well as Charterer’s Liability Insurance. We also recommend personal medical and accident insurance, as well as coverage for your valuables and belongings. Our team is happy to talk you through all available options to ensure you are fully protected.

Gratuity is entirely at your discretion, though it is a widely observed custom to recognise exceptional service. Most guests leave between 10%-15% of the charter fee. This can be handled through Yomira or discreetly presented to the Captain at the conclusion of your voyage, who will ensure it is distributed equitably amongst the entire crew, including those working diligently behind the scenes.

Should any concern arise on board, the Captain is your primary point of contact and is always on hand to assist. Your broker will also be in regular contact with you and the Captain throughout the charter. We are committed to ensuring every aspect of your experience is handled with the utmost care and efficiency.

Yes, certain areas of the yacht, such as the galley and crew quarters, are reserved exclusively for crew use. Upon arrival, you will receive a thorough safety briefing covering all restricted zones, onboard procedures, and the location of safety equipment. Once complete, your time is entirely your own to relax and savour every moment.
