Yomira exists because of the ocean.  Without it, we simply couldn’t do what we do, but we also see first-hand the effects of human activity on the environment.

We put our energy where our heart is with our commitment to supporting carbon neutrality and ocean sustainability.  Through carefully selected ocean sustainability partnerships and initiatives, we work to reduce environmental impact, support the restoration of precious marine ecosystems and inspire a deeper connection with the natural world. In short, we strive to be Ocean Positive in the best way we can by taking small steps to make a difference.

As part of this commitment, for every single charter we arrange and each flight we take, Yomira donates to one of our ocean-conservation partners, for every single charter we arrange and each flight we take helping to support meaningful marine protection and restoration projects around the world.

We can also help you offset carbon emissions from your fuel consumption; connect you to ocean preservation projects in parts of the world where you are cruising, and even arrange for leading marine biologists, conservationists and ocean experts to join your journey to enhance your understanding and appreciation of the waters you are exploring.

With half of the world’s reefs endangered by rising ocean temperatures and acidification, Coral Gardeners grow and plant resilient coral to revive fragile reef ecosystems.

Focussing primarily in French Polynesia and Thailand, their valuable work restores the ocean one coral at a time and Yomira’s own adopted “Yomira Coral” is actively playing a part in their mission to enrich the ocean’s biodiversity

Through SeaTrees (founded by Sustainable Surf), scientists and coastal communities collaborate to restore ‘Blue Carbon Ecosystems’ such as mangroves, seagrasses, kelp forests and coral reefs capable of removing five to ten times more carbon than tropical rainforests.

Coral Restoration & Community ¡ Antigua & Barbuda

AnuBlue is a science-driven organisation dedicated to restoring coral reefs and conducting critical studies on the island's marine life, including shark tagging expeditions and tracking coral health using advanced 3D modelling and microbiology.

They are also committed to enhancing eco-tourism and education through summer camps and educational outreach by connecting visitors and residents to the underwater eco-system.

AEGEAN MARINE LIFE SANCTUARY

AMLS aims to provide a safe, natural and science-driven environment for the rehabilitation, care and protection of marine wildlife, while advancing marine conservation, education and research in the Aegean Sea and beyond.

Their work is designed as a solution-based approach for the care of marine mammals and turtles, offering short and long-term rehabilitation in a natural, biodiverse environment with minimum human impact. The next phase of development will focus on serving as a model sanctuary for rehabilitating dolphins formerly held in captivity and displaced by marine park closures.
