Day 1 – Porto Cervo to Bonifacio
24nm
Receive a lovely warm welcome from your Captain and Crew in Porto Cervo.
Porto Cervo is one of Sardinia’s most well-known, luxurious and chic locations. The marina is situated in a beautiful, sheltered harbour. The Costa Smeralda Yacht Club is one of the best equipped in the Mediterranean. With steady winds, this is yacht racing territory, and plays host to regattas such as the Perini Navi Cup, the Dubois Cup, Pendennis, Fitzroy and more.
Once you have slipped off your shoes and settled in on board, depart Porto Cervo and cruise across the Strait of Bonifacio towards Corsica.
On arrival, spend the afternoon wandering through Bonifacio’s historic old town, exploring its narrow cobbled streets, ancient citadel and clifftop viewpoints.
Return to the yacht in the early evening for an aperitif on deck, taking in views of Bonifacio’s dramatic limestone cliffs and historic citadel as the light begins to fade.
Later, head into the heart of the old town for dinner at Stella d’Oro. Established as a family restaurant in 1965, this intimate address serves refined Corsican cuisine inspired by the island’s traditional flavours.
Spend the night in Bonifacio Port, perfectly positioned beneath the illuminated citadel and within easy reach of the town’s lively waterfront.
With its remarkable clifftop setting, atmospheric streets, waterfront dining and beautiful surrounding beaches, Bonifacio provides an unforgettable introduction to your charter.
Day 2 – Bonifacio to Roccapina
14nm
Depart Bonifacio and cruise north along Corsica’s dramatic southwestern coastline towards Cala di Roccapina, a beautifully secluded bay framed by pale sand, clear turquoise water and rugged granite scenery.
Once anchored off Roccapina Beach, spend the day swimming, paddleboarding or simply relaxing on board while taking in the peaceful surroundings. Those keen to explore ashore can hike towards the Lion de Roccapina, a remarkable natural rock formation overlooking the bay. The route also passes close to the historic Genoese tower and rewards walkers with sweeping views across the coastline and surrounding landscape.
After returning to the yacht, settle in for a relaxed evening at anchor. Enjoy sundowners on deck as the bay grows quiet, followed by a beautifully prepared dinner on board beneath the Corsican sky.
Remote, unspoilt and wonderfully peaceful, Roccapina offers a slower and more natural side of Corsica, making it the perfect contrast to the lively harbour of Bonifacio.
Day 3 – Roccapina to La Maddalena
25nm
Wake to the peaceful surroundings of Roccapina and enjoy a leisurely breakfast on deck before setting off towards the La Maddalena Archipelago, one of Sardinia’s most beautiful cruising grounds.
Spend the day discovering the archipelago’s secluded bays and crystalline waters. Drop anchor near Cala Coticcio, often referred to as Sardinia’s answer to Tahiti, or explore the sheltered coves around Cala Garibaldi and Porto Palma on Caprera. Framed by sculpted granite rocks and fragrant Mediterranean vegetation, these tranquil anchorages are perfect for swimming, snorkelling and enjoying the yacht’s collection of water toys. Cala Coticcio is within a protected area, so access and anchoring arrangements should be planned in accordance with the national park’s regulations.
Return on board for a relaxed lunch overlooking the islands, followed by an unhurried afternoon sunbathing, paddleboarding or exploring the hidden coves by tender.
As evening approaches, freshen up on board before heading ashore for dinner at Le Terrazze Ritual in Baja Sardinia. Set among natural granite rocks, olive trees and fragrant myrtle, this atmospheric rooftop restaurant combines an extraordinary setting with dinner beneath the moon and stars. Its elevated terraces offer a memorable backdrop for a sophisticated evening on the Costa Smeralda.
Day 4 – La Maddalena to Tavolara
29nm
Depart La Maddalena and cruise south towards Isola Tavolara, one of Sardinia’s most recognisable natural landmarks. Rising dramatically from the turquoise sea, this limestone island forms part of the Tavolara–Punta Coda Cavallo Marine Protected Area and offers an impressive backdrop for a relaxed day on the water.
Drop anchor in the clear, sheltered waters surrounding the island and spend the day entirely at your own pace. Swim and snorkel among the rich marine life, explore the coastline by paddleboard or kayak, or simply relax on deck and admire Tavolara’s rugged cliffs and unspoilt landscape. With few permanent residents and no roads, the island has retained a wonderfully peaceful and remote atmosphere.
For lunch, tender across to La Tavernetta, a welcoming beachfront restaurant on Porto Taverna with uninterrupted views towards Tavolara. Its spacious seaside veranda provides a relaxed setting in which to enjoy fresh fish, seafood and Mediterranean dishes while looking out across the bay.
Return to the yacht for a leisurely afternoon of swimming, sunbathing and enjoying the water toys. As evening approaches, settle in for sundowners and dinner on board, surrounded by the tranquil beauty of the marine reserve.
Spend the night at anchor beneath Tavolara’s striking silhouette, enjoying the stillness of the bay and a peaceful evening under the Sardinian stars.
Day 5 – Tavolara to Golfo Aranci
6nm
Wake beneath the dramatic silhouette of Tavolara and enjoy a relaxed breakfast on deck before cruising north towards Golfo Aranci, a charming seaside town on Sardinia’s northeastern coast.
On arrival, spend the afternoon exploring the area at your own pace. Swim in the clear waters of Cala Moresca, relax on the pale sands of Spiaggia Bianca, or make use of the yacht’s water toys in one of the sheltered bays surrounding the coastline. Guests wishing to venture ashore can stroll along Golfo Aranci’s waterfront promenade and through its colourful centre, where the town’s fishing heritage remains part of its relaxed character.
As evening approaches, return to the yacht to freshen up before heading ashore for dinner at La Spigola. Set directly beside a white-sand beach, this elegant yet understated restaurant specialises in seafood and contemporary Mediterranean cuisine. Its sea-facing terrace and intimate beachfront setting make it a particularly atmospheric place to enjoy freshly prepared local fish as the sun sets over the bay.
After dinner, take a leisurely walk along the waterfront before returning to the yacht for a peaceful night in Marina di Golfo Aranci.
Day 6 – Golfo Aranci to Porto Rotondo
5nm
After a relaxed morning in Golfo Aranci, cruise the short distance along Sardinia’s northeastern coast to Porto Rotondo. With its elegant marina, attractive piazzas, waterfront boutiques and lively summer atmosphere, the town is a fitting destination for the final full day of your charter.
Alternatively, remain on board and anchor off Spiaggia Ira for a final afternoon of swimming, water sports and relaxation in the sunshine.
As evening approaches, return to the yacht to freshen up before heading ashore for a memorable final dinner at Lu Stazzu. Set on a veranda overlooking the Gulf of Porto Rotondo, the restaurant celebrates traditional Sardinian and Gallurese cooking, with local specialities prepared from recipes passed down through generations. Its warm atmosphere and views across the bay provide a relaxed and authentic setting in which to toast the final evening of the charter.
After dinner, enjoy a final stroll through Porto Rotondo’s lively marina and picturesque streets before returning to the yacht for the night.
Day 7 – Porto Rotondo
Wake at leisure in Porto Rotondo and enjoy a final breakfast on board, taking in the views across the marina. With no cruising planned, the morning can unfold entirely at your own pace.
Spend some time exploring Porto Rotondo’s elegant streets, boutiques and waterfront piazzas, or simply remain on board and make the most of the yacht’s facilities. Those wishing to enjoy one final swim can tender to a nearby beach or spend the morning relaxing in the clear waters surrounding the bay.
Return to the yacht for a leisurely lunch on deck, followed by a final opportunity to unwind in the sunshine and reflect on the week’s journey through Sardinia and southern Corsica.
Later, gather your belongings and say goodbye to the crew before disembarking in Porto Rotondo. From dramatic Corsican cliffs and hidden island coves to relaxed beach clubs, memorable dining and peaceful nights at anchor, the charter concludes with a final taste of Sardinia’s effortless coastal lifestyle.
