Held in the heart of Sanremo’s PortoSole marina, this year’s show brought together 87 Superyachts and over 2000 industry professionals for one of yachting’s most important calendar events. With the Mediterranean charter season ahead, it set the tone for what promises to be a strong summer. For YOMIRA, it remains an unrivaled opportunity to step aboard and evaluate every detail firsthand, from the design and amenities onboard to the crew and the overall guest experience.

The crew are such an important part of making a charter truly memorable. The teams aboard HOLDIN’ MY OWN, a 55m Turquoise, and LATIKO, a 44m Benetti, brought a warmth and energy to their service that was impossible to ignore, leaving us in no doubt that guests would thoroughly enjoy every aspect of their time onboard.

Alongside exceptional crews, the culinary standards at this year’s show were equally impressive. Chefs are increasingly versatile in meeting guest requirements which is something we experienced firsthand enjoying a fully vegetarian menu aboard ALVA, a 60m Amels. A particular highlight was the red prawn tartare served aboard PENGUINS, a 27m Sanlorenzo, crafted by Chef Andrea Albanesi using produce caught locally that day. A dish that also earned him a special mention in this year’s chef competition.
This year’s theme, ‘A Flower Feast for Breakfast’, was chosen in homage to Sanremo, famously known as the City of Flowers, with the judging panel touring 26 yachts and sampling 78 dishes over three days. Chef Andrew Durham of NAIA took first place in the 50m and over category, Chef Aiden Farah of SEAWOLF X won the 36 to 49m category, and Chef Charles Agouros of CENTURION claimed top spot in the 35m and under.

This year wellness stood out as the new onboard staple, with most yachts now equipped to offer guests a dedicated space to unwind and recharge. Fitness is following suit, with the latest gym technologies increasingly finding their way onto yachts of all sizes. Out on the water, inflatable platforms remain a firm favourite, offering endless fun for guests of all ages.
When it comes to refits, the show is the perfect stage for yachts to shine and showcase their sleek new exteriors and refreshed interiors. HANA, 43m CRN Ancona, left a particular impression, walking aboard felt like stepping onto a brand new boat. HOLDIN’ MY OWN, 55m Turquoise, and LATIKO, 44m Benetti, were equally impressive. Scandinavian-inspired interiors were also notable, characterised by soft natural colours, complementary textiles and bright, naturally lit spaces, with yachts like SEAWOLF X being a standout example.
Green is the new Blue! Ocean conservation is something we feel passionately about at YOMIRA, and it was brilliant to see yachts like THOR, a brand new 23m Sunreef Yachts Catamaran, pushing the boundaries to minimise its carbon footprint. Powered by solar panels, electric engines and a lightweight battery system, THOR runs almost entirely on clean energy, offering a silent, effortless cruising experience. Onboard, the Spot Zero water filtration system takes things further still, using 100 percent reverse osmosis to ensure guests can enjoy clean, fresh water in every aspect of their onboard experience.

It was a superb week and one that has left us feeling excited for the season ahead. There is so much to look forward to, get in touch with the YOMIRA team and let us help you plan your perfect charter!
